SNOW DAY 7 AUGUST!!! (Youth)
Pretty self-explanatroy - on Saturday 7th August the youth group is spending the day in the snow at Perisher, hanging out in the chapel listening to testimonies, worshipping, and drinking hot chocolate, and then heading out to hit the snow. Mens Breakfast 31 July (Events)
Blokes breakfast, including young blokes, at David Evans' place on 31 July at 8:30am. Bring your friends. Come for great food (bacon and eggs and sausages BBQ, cereal, fresh fruit, bread, juice, tea and COFFEE, plus any other suggestions!), blokes chat, getting together, hearing the Word (based on John 16:33). $8 should do it!! Entertainment Book as a fundraiser (General)
Last Sunday Paul Bainton let the church know that Jacinta (Mayne-Grundig) is planning to participate in a Student Exchange to Canada next year. To help finance the exchange, she is selling the ‘Entertainment Book’ as a fundraiser. The books cost $55.00 each, $11.00 of which goes to Jacinta. If you’d like to support Jacinta in this way, there are order forms on the information table each week or people can see Jacinta directly and take one home on the day.

Daytime Women's Bible Study (General)
Robyn Evans is taking over leadership of Pauline's daytime bible study for woman on Thursday mornings. It will begin from 6 May, starting at 9.30 through till midday at her home in 3 Free Place, Fadden. Bible Study, Prayer, inspiration, encouragement and fun are at the core and chocolate and coffee are the optional extras. Children are welcome.

Just a reminder that there are some counsellors in our the Canberra area, associated with the Baptist Churches, who we could recommend, if anyone requires counselling.
Cherie Martin - from Brindabella, iis available for counselling on Fridays - in Gowrie. She is an experienced counsellor of over 15 years now both in a private and secular practice, working with both relationship and individual issues. She works in a professional capacity with regular supervision so there is a fee. You can contact Cherie on 6291 8411
Jude Morris - is well known to many of us and available as a counsellor. He can be contacted on 042 477 432 and operates out of Harrison on the north side.

New Office Admin (General)
Rachel Marks has felt called to step up into the role of Communications officer in the Connexion Office. This means that there will be a slight adjustment in hours at the Connexion Office. The office is now open from 9:30 - 12:30 Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please be gracious as she adjusts to the new role and gains her bearings in the behind-the scenes aspect of this wonderful church family.

Please thoughtfully read the attached message from our elders, Dean & Paul. They encourage us to be still before God, which is something that those of us who are busy can sometimes find hard. I believe that more than just PHYSICALLY being still, we need to SPIRITUALLY be still - to be at peace, knowing that God has a plan for us. I thank God that He has given BBC elders and other church leaders who are willing and able to do this.
